Headed for the Mylor!
Hi Everybody,
I’m thinking about changing my style a little bit, because I’d like to get faster at this. It seems that it’s the process of adding the shades of grey on the computer that takes a long time. I want to do more of the comic on paper (not just the basic inks). That may mean less greys and more spot blacks, more hatching, maybe using markers, which I haven’t tried with this comic.
At the same time, a lot is going on right now. My family and I are moving out-of-state in about two weeks. I’ll need to find a job there, and I’ll be working full-time rather than part-time. There’s a comic convention coming up in early March that I signed up for (STAPLE!), so I need to get ready for that. On the other hand, we’ll have much more help in Texas with our daughter. I’m grateful to family for that.
So, long and short of it, don’t be surprised if the strip’s style changes somewhat in the coming weeks. I’d love to promise a faster update schedule but I don’t think I know what’s going to happen in the next two months or how much time I’ll have. So we’ll stick to the once-a-week schedule for now. If the new style makes me confident that I can update more often, even with less time to draw, than I’ll announce the new update schedule.
